Any recommendations?

Now that sounds cool. I bet they hammer you with midtown prices.
I prefer downtown for my eats.

"One, Two, Three", how do you say that in french? That's the name of the resturant at #123 W. 44st.
Not to expensive, I went right before the theater hour during the Christmas season.

especially if followed or preceded by a buggy ride thru the park.  Another not cheap proposition.

I would avoid one called  "The Dead Animal".

Also avoid one called "Sam And Ella's".

he is right about the romance part, but the food sux.

u can dine at the many top restaurants and have a great meal.

My personal pick would be Danube in tribeca, spectacular, like Vienna in the 1800's.

Restaurant  Row my pick

FIREBIRD
365 W. 46th St. (bet. 8th & 9th Aves.) New York, NY, 10036 (212) 586-0244

its very romantic, Russian, beautiful restaurant  they used to have a great $40 price fix
obviously not including alcohol.

as u can tell im not a fan of the normally overpriced, elitist French restaurants in the city.
But those who know me , know im not normal

If you really want a good meal take the Mrs. to N'awlins for the weekend.  I've had the five best restaurant meals I ever eaten down there.
