I took a trip down to Eric the Ammoman today with me pops (ammoman.com for those of you not in the know)...Worth the trip! Buying there saved a PILE in shipping costs today. Eric's a great guy in person as well (you thought he was nice over the phone, he's cooler in person). Picked up another 2k of Aussie .308, 2400 rounds of that Czech white-tip 7.62x39 (hey, it was dirt cheap, and for 100-200 yard plinking it fits the bill), another pile of 8mm, 500 rounds of the Wolf .30-06 (gotta test it), and another 1k each of Wolf .223 and 5.45x39. When I get a chance I'll give a range report of the 7.62x39 white tip stuff, but at the price he's letting it go at...it's worth trying it out. Not, not all me, Dad split the bill....I'm not rich To give a reference we left from by West Point, and it took us about 2.5 hours (150 miles or so). True, we only spent like 30 minutes there...but the money saved in shipping and getting instant gratification was well worth the 5 hour round trip and tank of gas. He's right off of Exit 4, off of the NJ Turnpike (about 10 miles from the exit, off of 73). |

I wish he would cut the shipping costs a little for guys that are geographically closer(HINT: LONG ISLAND!) but it's his business. I consider it the price I'd pay for Overnight shipping anyhow. Just got 2K of .223 from him today...what happened no more magnets?!?! |
How many people would be interested in chipping in toll and gas if someone drove down there and picked up a bunch of ammo?

Sounds interesting. I would be interested in two cases of M855 if the price beats Cabella's. |
Show off! Alright 300WMNut, back that bad boy up right here!www.ammoman.com/images/223GT/Mvc-005f.jpg www.ammoman.com/webstore_223.htm |

I just called Eric at Ammoman. He willing to give us a discount for going to pick up the ammo. He said cash gets the biggest discount. I am willing to drive down there. We just need to figure out a way to get together an order, collect the money and distribute the ammo. |
