Hey everybody,  I just got a job offer in Riverdalde NJ, I currently live in Indiana which has very lax gun laws comparatively.  What are the big no-nos in jersey that I would need to conform with.  I know I will need to de-preban all of my ARs   So am I to understand that  mags over 15 rounds are illegal?  and what about CCW ?  Sorry for the probable dupe but Im used to living in a free state,  Thanks!!

Not only will you have to de-preban your AR's, if any of them actually say AR on the receiver they are outright banned, and you cannot possess them in NJ.

For now, magazines that hold more than 15 rounds need to be blocked to hold only 15. However, we expect that to change in the future to be interpretted against us.

As far as CCW, you can forget it. We are a MAY ISSUE state, which means a judge has to OK your request. You have a snowballs chance of that happening, although the state will be more than happy to take your application fee knowing full well that you will be denied.

If you are coming here you better get used to living what I like to call "BEHIND ENEMY LINES".

You need to be fingerprinted and undergo a background check to buy BB's.  You also need a pistol permit to  purchase a BB pistol and you'll be arrested for pumping your own gas.  That should give you some idea of the whacked out laws in NJ.

You also need to keep in  mind that you will be paying higher NJ income taxes and higher costs for housing, utilities, food, insurance etc.

Welcome to NJ.

If you're smart you'll stay in Indiana
