Huh? What happened? I work night shift so no one tells me anything. Did we secede while I was asleep today?

Britain voted out of the European Union.  Stock markets crashing all over the world.  Cats and dogs living together.

Congratulations on the vote. We aren't leaving anytime soon. The US will need Texas lead them later.

I'm pretty stoked for the UK. Finally you guys are free from the Muslim control of your nation and have your border's back.

However TX is not going to secede.  The other states that rely on our economy will never let us.  Basically, TX Is providing welfare for the rest of the nation.

Anyways, again, Congrats on your July 4th!  It's about time BRITS got some balls!

OP, I am glad you started this thread, the UK leaving the EU is a huge milestone for Britain and the world. This is the snowball effect of pushing nationalism in our world and destroying any efforts associated with a one world government. I think Trump may actually win and America may gain strength once again. I was skeptical because this all seemed to perfect. Although, I see a dark near future before things are great again. There will most likely be some more wars and definitely some staged terror attacks to boot. We need to remain focused and vigilant, now or after the US election, pending assumed positive turnout, is the time to celebrate or become complacent and lost again. We will always face the growing threat of these leftist progressives. Good job Britain, I cant stand your silly accents unless but you have given hope to tens of millions of people and the kids of tomorrow. Now we just need to set these millennials straight so they dont fall back into the abyss of socialized everything.

Am I in before yankees tell us that the rest of the EU should band together, blockade Britain, invade them, burn their houses down, destroy their food supplies, and starve them until they agree to rejoin the EU?

No, that's how you vote to secede from a union. Doing it is a different animal all together. You know of course your vote isn't binding, right? Basically just a well publicized petition.

A state removing it's self from a union that has a history of waging war to remain intact is not the same thing. A union that unfortunately has great financial investment in the state.  The state stands to lose much, in areas that can't be replaced easily.

I grew up in MA, so I feel the need to point out

All you did was vote. The next part is where it gets interesting.
I hope for y'alls sakes the rest of the EU doesn't decide to get pissy about it.
