BFL sighting on north main (281 north) in Mineral Wells. It was a Blue Ford F150 parked in front of the candy/Junk store.

Such a small town, ive never gotten the AR15 vibe from. Lots of family live there, many memories, but i just dont get that feel from there.

Besides myself I can think of five or so that I know of. But your right about small town and getting smaller

my dad  was born there. parents met there.  grand parents lived there until they died, granny just this year.  Ford dealer on Hubbard across from the cemetary just as you  come in to town from the east. right at the tracks to the brick factory. there used to be a house on the block with the Ford. My grand parents lived there since 1948 until it was torn down about 10 years ago.  As a kid it was a big thrill to go climb Welcome Mountain.

I'd say it's gotten bigger since '81 when I was a kid.

I graduated in 81 at  MWHS. Now work for TDCJ Parole Division. Not much work here. Plenty of crime for a small town

Thats what took my mom to MW. Grandfather was an instructor there. Then went for his own tour.

RIP CWO3 Bobby Gene Frost

Dad graduated in '71, mom a couple years later.

I've got extended family in Mineral Wells.  Had a grandfather stationed at the missile base which was part of Ft. Wolters.  They stayed put when he retired in 65-66, IIRC.

I've always had a fascination with Fort Wolters, the Baker, and other sites that were shuttered before my time yet remained in a perpetual state of decay to remind everyone of Mineral Wells' once prosperous past.
