Hey all, if you don't have to be somewhere this morning, stay home. I 35 is a sheet of ice from
Hillsboro to Waco. And I'm pretty sure beyond those places also. I'm in West and 35 is almost shut down, very few vehicles are out. |

Yeah, crazy stuff here in weird town.....
Good thing the boss texted us all last night saying not to come in till 10..... I bucked the odds and came in at eight, defying all hazards... just look at this ice in our parking lot: 
I know it's worse up north, so y'all be safe up there....the total lack of traffic this morning was a huge plus though! |

But I agree, if it's icy in your area use caution and be safe. I'm about an hour northwest of Austin. 6pm last night they announced 2 hour delay for schools starting this morning, before they knew for sure what was going to happen. Then at 6 am this morning they canceled school for the day. It was icy out, had snow/sleet in the yard at the time. But now the sun is out bright and everything has melted. Turned into a wasted day, stuck at home with the kiddo due to no school. |

0530 trip to DFW airport was a breeze, with 4wd Durango. fresh snow good traction. Getting to work at 730, much worse, snow packed to ice, morons all over the place. Jeep and I laughed 
I considered not coming in and instead going around pulling people out, but tight schedule this week...
