Is anyone who uses yahoo having issues?
My company site is @att.net and my junk email is @yahoo.com and very few mails are getting through and my BB playbook is being glitch as far as yahoo goes.

I know my playbook is crap but it was usable with yahoo last night.

Thanks for any thoughts.

ATT and YAHOO are the same thing. From my recollection, they are the same email server/service.

I dumped yahoo, hotmail, and even my cable service email a long time ago. Registered my own domains elsewhere and host email away from big company sites.  I even stopped Yahoo MSN instant messaging and host my own XMPP server to use among friends/family.  Even have SSL.

Yahoo & ATT have been having issues lately.  I've had to call twice to get the accounts (.yahoo.com & .sbcglobal.net) passwords synced in the last two months.   I noticed I'm having issues AGAIN today...   I really need to figure out how to set up a domain & my Synology server to do email....

I hope it isn't related to this:

GNU Bourne Again Shell (Bash) ‘Shellshock’ Vulnerability (CVE-2014-6271, CVE-2014-7169)

Its fairly complicated to host your own email server at home.  Lot of work, and may be a TOS violation with your ISP.

What I did was register a domain....... say its www.JCW.COM.  Get hosting service, create your email address [email protected]  DONE.

Now you never have to change your email address again when your change ISP, and its not that free crap that you should just call NSA mail :P

I do tech work. But I didn't understand your question, OP.

In case it is relevant, I have been having issues with yahoo email for the past 2 weeks - super slow.

Thanks guys.
While most of what was said is beyond my paygrade I do get the gist of it: yahoo is hit or miss right now.
For the most part what I get on yahoo comes from gun or car sites so it's not really income producing.

Bottom line is things are weird on yahoo right now and I should consider moving, right?

Lots of people have Gmail so I can spend the weekend transferring things over, or at least starting to t hink about it.

You mean Yahoo and Blackberry still exist?

I remember having a Yahoo email address sometime in the late 90s. Don't think I've ever seen a person using a RIM device in person, though I did see one being passed around to showcase the RIM version of a business app about 7 years ago at a conference.

It started out being a really cool machine since it used my BB phone to provide Internet service at no charge.

Get sammichmaker bought me a dell android(ipad knockoff)and it's pretty good but glitchy and I don't deal well with stuff that doesn't work right; cars, guns whatever!
