This guy can sing and the stories he tells us are awesome!!!
One song called " This old porch", reminds me of my
Grandma's house!! The bull playin hide n seak brings back
memories of hot summer days and crunchy grass!!

Lyle's got some good stuff, but I prefer Robert Earl Keen's version of the Front Porch Song.

I second that! The REK version live at the sons of Herman hall is the shit. It brings back memories of  everything small town Texas is about. "Bless his heart",the feed store, the cattle auction  ( Lampasas  especially )  listen to The pick up truck song by Jerry Jeff Walker and  New Tony Lamas by Deryl Dodd. I think you'll enjoy them

I saw both Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett when they were inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2012.  I'm not really a country fan, but they both put on quite a show.

My MIL lived a couple houses down from Robert Earl Keen in college. She just laughs when I've asked her about them playing bluegrass on Sundays.

That REK show at the Sons of Hermann Hall was the best. The beer cost more than the cover charge. One can hear my whistling on the album. Good times!
