I'm looking for a shop that is willing to do a custom alignment on my 93 Mazda RX-7.
The car is "performance" low. Not show car low. The entire suspension has been replaced and all three settings (Caster, Camber, and Toe) will need to be reset. I'm getting a lot of "no's" from shops that are simply too lazy or refuse to align the car to my specs. One even quoted me $215 to do it. Fuck that. Any help would be appreciated. |

You are upset over 215? You do know that "book time" for many standard alignments is 2 hrs, you have an aftermarket setup, sight unseen, that is likely ridiculously out from your custom specs? I get the same request all the time. I usually tell them 200-300 depending on how it goes. Most people say "Great!" and appreciate the professional attention to detail we give their vehicles. For comparison, most cars and trucks are 79 and 109 for BMW/Porsche/Ferrari etc with complex procedure. "215... Fuck that." HA! Better get a manual, tape measure, and protractor ready, I wouldn't align your car either. |

The problem with getting a shop to do it is that I get looked at the same as every asshole with a Honda Civic slamed to the ground asking for 9 degrees of caster and 20 degrees of camber without the provisions to even adjust them. This car is fucking SIMPLE. The suspension is fully capable of the specs I am asking which aren't out of the ordinary. Front toe: 0 Front camber: -1.2 Front caster: 5.0 Rear toe: 0 Rear camber: -1.0 Thrust angle: 0 |

I know it's out of the way, OP, but I had good luck with my STI at Texas Track Works in south Ft. Worth:
LINK Couple of really cool guys. No hassle and reasonably priced. They're in your area too, 6camaro9. |

| Dean, the owner of Lanes Automotive is an old racer and will do whatever alignment you want. It is $120ish, and the only person/shop I trust with my car. They are in Euless by DFW airport. |
