Does anyone know where to buy AN34-0-0 in the DFW or Hillsboro area?  I called a local feed store (Arlington), and she said they don't carry it because you have to have a farmer's license to buy it. That doesn't surprise me, but that's the first I've heard of it, and the person didn't sound too sure of themselves.

Wait, I can't grow strawberries in my backyard without a license?

Anyhow, Cabelas has it.

Looking to buy in bulk. It's generally half the cost of pre-packed tannerite.

There's a company that is sometimes at the gun shows in San Antonio that is located in the DFW area that sells it.  Name is HO2 something or other.  Always have a little tv and video playing showing all the stuff they have done.  They are like half the price of the guys selling the Tannerite branded stuff.  A friend of mind buys from them and has had good luck with it.  They have a mix that works with .22 rnds as well. They are supposedly the only ones in this area to be selling that brand, but I've seen a couple set up at another gun show selling it at a higher price.   I thought I had a card, but can't find it so I'll check on it.

Is 26-0-0 good enough?

Alpha Chemicals

They also have aluminum powder, and thermite kits.

Just have always been curious.. does anyone know the "velocity", if that's even the correct term of Tannerite? Initial shock velocity? If that's a real term... lol

I believe straight dynamite is approx. 14k / fps. I know tannerite must be considerably lower..

For fun, (must be evening) when you get some, get a 5 gallon bucket or suitable containig aparatus (and fill it with non-dairy creamer (why?, it is flammable,). Get a metal table or a sturdy raised surface to put your tannerite on. Balance the bucket on top. Place a road flare in the creamer w/o making contact with it. Make sure you are a safe distance back. Again, must be done at night for full effect. When you hit the tannerite, it will explode throwing the creamer in the air and the flare will ignite the creamer creating a fireball, size depends on amount of creamer. Fun times.

Be safe and not responsible in case of accidents

It's a PITA to find now due to self imposed and other rules about handling it.

Runs about $260 for 50lbs shipped from some online places.

I'd keep quantities I had on hand at under 50lbs but that's just me.

Tannerite is not needed.  A table is not needed either.

Black powder and non-diary creamer work just fine.

This fire ball producing concoction is called a Cremora (just like me).

I strongly suggest you start with a much smaller container than a 5 gallon bucket until you see first hand just how big the fire ball will be.

email sent.

As for fireballs, you can also put a bag of flour on top of a container of tannerite or it's equivalent and it's supposed to work.  We only tried it once, but can't remember if it worked or not.  We had a chewing tobacco can filled with tannerite stuff, wrapped up in duct tape and then a 1 pound bag of flour on top of it.  We were using the stuff that will ignite using 22 ammo as it works pretty good wrapped up in skoal cans.
