Did anybody else see the news story about mentioning the possible use of an executive order for gun control? What was not mentioned though was what exactly it would be.

History has been filled with all sorts of half measures, side steps to achieve an agenda, instead of actually letting "the system" work like it's supposed to. And we're paying the price for a lot of that today.
It moves us closer and closer to losing our democracy and into dangerous territory. |

Most likely he will do what Bush41 did and tighten up the meaning of "Sporting Use", a Power Congress gave POTUS in 1968. Too bad more folks did not get behind the NRA driven initiative to remove "Sporting Use" a dew years ago.

| Congress people have no term limits and want to get re-elected sometime in the near future. So as much as they all say there needs to be serious talk and changes, they would drag their feet and probably do very little. With the economy the way it is, it would probably get back burnered and by the time they got around to it the public outcry for change will have diminished and not much would get done either. Obama knows this so of course Biden tells the media they will probably have to do things through executive orders. Biden's committee meeting with the NRA, gun rights groups, and retailers is all a dog and pony show to make it look like Obama compromised and that he had the support of these people. Considering they have only had like 2 real weeks of time to come up with plans to have on his desk by next week, it's not like they have come up with anything other than they typical bans on guns, etc. Until they get it through their heads that the only people that obey laws are law abiding citizens, not criminals, mass murderers, etc, then no bans will ever be effective at preventing crimes and more massacres. |

They know. These are not stupid people, distasteful as they are. None of them give a damn about you as an individual. What they care about is having ALL of us dependant on them. An individual that can stand up for himself, or band together with others to look out for themselves...that is unacceptable. They intend to manage your life, your rights (You'll get all the liberty that THEY determine you need). If they fail occasionally to look out for your interests or safety...well, there's plenty more people. It's to be expected that a few folks will fall through the cracks....dime a dozen! Welcome to Obummers second term!
