Born and raised in south Texas, moved to SC two years ago for work now coming back to good ole TX!! Thinking about relocating here. How is the area? Traffic? Housing market? Crime? Good side of town? Best schools etc.
Took a job in the area and we are looking for a good place to live. We have 2 young kids. Any information would help. Gracias |

I live south of Burleson. I dont know a thing about their schools but there arent any real "bad areas" that im aware of. Most of the new deveopments I see are on the northern edge. Its another little town that is being consumed by the metroplex so there is a goodly portion of it thats all brand new. Traffic depends upon where you are located and where you have to go. I35 really isnt that bad compared to the rest of the metro area. Sure, it can get backed up as they all do but its nothing compared to fighting your way south from northern Tarrant and Wise counties. That's a catastrophe every single morning.
Lots of horse people around Burleson and its right on the leading edge of open acerage. |

Burleson and Johnson County have more new millionaires per capita than anywhere else on the planet....because of the recent natural gas boom. It's been severely curtailed of late, however, lots of people got rich before it did. Overall, it's a fairly nice area, close to the city, has good schools, and so far has managed to stay pretty safe. |

I moved to Burleson a few years ago for work. I worked in north Ft. Worth and HATED the drive.... Burleson is nice, but to me there wasn't enough there to keep me from getting bored. I have since moved back to San Antonio, glad I don't have to deal with that Ft. Worth traffic now! |
| I live here and work for the city. It's a great place. Love the school the kids are in, great teachers and administration. There isn't really a bad part of town per se, crime is just random. A portion of the crime comes from people coming down from Ft.Worth and surrounding area and doin' their dirty work here and leaving. |
