Not to be confused with a yaab?

Is this a long term position?

What's the pay?

Any extra or bonus if I can keep the right price tag on the right gun?

Any penalty for selling a KSG shotgun to cookiemonster556?

Can I double sell suppressors?

I'm no expert on labor law......but these two "requirements" seem to be a bit illegal:

1) male between 25 to 45 good shape.... Age and sex discrimination
and
7) 1099 EMPLOYEE  There is no such thing as a "1099 employee" A 1099 is for "independent contractor" which is NON employee contract labor.

You can hire who you want.....but just dont list the requirements like this.

actually i believe #1 above is not illegal until someone actually applies for the job and they can prove the discrimination.  but yes not very smart to put it in writing!

#7 is more of a technicality i guess, why that is to one's benefit being an independent contractor instead of a part time employee i cannot understand.

but it doesn't matter anyway because it is for a jobe not a job.

I think your right. This is a "yaab", not a job.

Actually it's age and sex discrimination regardless of whether someone even applies for the job.  Basically a woman or a dude under 25 or over 45 reading this could sue the poster right now and would win.  Before hiring anyone, I would suggest the poster does some research on labor laws before he loses everything.

Could we please cut out the snarky remarks. In this economy I'm sure there's someone on the board that could use some extra income.

If I didn't already work M-F (Friday has me out too), I'd love to go help SAWS sell some guns.

It's a shame that the goof patrol had to chime in first with a bunch of negativity.  Go ahead and bash on grammar and what you learned about the law from judge Judy.  Schramms has likely sold more firearms than you can imagine, and they'll do just fine without your editorial skills and "legal counsel."

Sorry bud, what you describe would not fit as a 1099 position.  You can ask if someone can fulfill the requirements of the job (bend, stoop, stand, lift greater that 100lbs etc).

"Goof patrol"
Please tell me how trying to help a fellow member not get his ass sued off due to his inexperience with labor laws is a bad thing????

I do not believe that the members I was referring to were intending to "help" the poster with anything.  Even if they were, they're not lawyers and it's a joke that they'd presume to help Jeff  run his business.  One from his own postings can't seem to stay out of jail, and another couldn't tell his ass from a hole in the ground.

The bigger picture here is that a member came in with a pretty neat offer for someone, and all he got was a bunch of crap from guys who clearly do not have a clue.  I thought it was pretty embarrassing actually.

Could the OP's inquiry have been more cleanly worded (legally and gramatically)?  Yes.  Did he need to hear about it to carry on?  No.  Is he likely to suffer a legal consequence.  No.  Is he likely to win a spelling contest?  No.  Does it matter?  No.
