Is there anyone here on the inside at ERCOT?
How about any QSE's like Enernoc or Constellation? I have questions and concerns about the EILS program that I jumped through hoops to get our company on. |

I got on with CPower (now Constellation) about a year ago. We are in the EILS program as we do no have the 1MW load to qualify for LARR. We are agregated with other entities to make the 1MW and we are getting paid on a "performance %" factor. If some other entity within our group fails to perform, the entire group gets dinged and only gets a % of the revenue bid.
Is this how it's done w/ Enernoc? To top it off, the event that occurred last August got us suspended from the program. We were notified to curtail load (which we did within the time limit and we returned back to utility power when we received notification from Constellation. The problem is that ERCOT wanted (according to Constellation) the LARR load back to utility, not EILS. Constellation sent out notification to all resources. According to ERCOT, we returned to utility power 20 minutes too early.Thankfully, I don't trash email and I was able to gather all the documentation that proves we performed at 100% of our contract with Constellation. They are going to pay us, but only after we forced them to admit that it was their mistake and they knew it. There's no telling how many entities are getting suspended without compensation. I'm not happy at all with the way they are handling their business and I'm thinking about tearing up the Constellation contract and switching to Enernoc. If you can say, are you in EILS or LARR? What is your revenue % split with Emernoc (we have a 65/35 with Constellation)? Have you had any "communication issues" with Enernoc? |
