I plan on heading over to the Conroe gun show this weekend and am wondering if anyone has any comments about ammo sales at past shows in Conroe.

Thank you.

OK, thank you.
I hate when the CAPS LOCK is on and I don't notice.

Selection. Am wondering if there are usually any large dealers there.

yeah me too i want to try to buy a Kel-Tec KSG shotgun again this weekend.  i dont have the gas money to get to Dallas and back so i guess i can't make it up there.  i bet it will be at that show since it is definitely bigger than the Conroe show but oh well.

hopefully that S.A.W. Inc. guy came to his senses and realized he can't sell that for 1800.  a dealer told me the wholesale price on that shotgun is about 600 so i think a 200 profit (33%) is pretty damn good.

hate to break it to you, but the KSG's will sell for 1500 - 1800 everywhere. Supply and demand!

Two behavioral observations:

1. A guy was letting his kid look at some lever action guns on one table. Looked like maybe the kid would be getting a rifle some time, and the dad asked the guy at  the table, "does thirty-thirty kick much?"  He was assured that it does not. This is for about an 80 pound middle school looking kid. Anyway, the rifle (carbine actually) appeared to be one of the too expensive to shoot commemorative variety.

2. At another table, I heard a buyer say, "I'll take it", noting that the serial number contained three consecutive sixes. He said he goes way out of his way to buy guns with "666" in the serial number.

Some of the higher end sellers seemed to be absent, today.

Didn't find any bargains. I think those days are pretty much over.

Overheard lots of the usual over-the-table bullshit, from both sides of the tables.

I saw lots of the same guns on the tables that were there for the last few shows.

The usual assortment of jerky, coins, cheap chinese knives and toys.

We didn't stay long. No reason to really.
Besides, we had to get back and watch the games...
