Whether in football or baseball, I always like listenening to the pre game trash talk and chest beating of the other team when a Texas team plays for a championship.
It's always an amusing spectacle and an affirmation that Texas married down when it joined the Union.

The St.Louis Cardinal baseball team is an organization built on respect. Its known in baseball circles as being a team that shows the other team respect both at home and on the road. Busch stadium is the only place Ive ever been where hometown fans applaud when an opposing player makes an outstanding play. When players are traded to St.louis that acted like loudmouths in the press on their old teams (like Jim Edmonds) they are told that doesnt fly in StL and to cool it. This is one reason I love the Cardinals as a whole. They dont showboat on the field, and fans dont boo in the stadium.
Im always disappointed to see when that level of respect isnt always extended by the whole fanbase. 
I hope the umpiring is fair, and there arent any injuries on any side, and may the best team win. I have a lot of respect for the Ranger organization and what they do in their community, and I have immense respect for Nolan Ryan and Ron Washington. I think it will be a fun series to watch! I rooted for Texas last year, but cant this year.  Enjoy watching the game tonight gentlemen.

Salient question: Why the fuck wouldn't you intentialy walk Pujoles in the top of the ninth ining when your down ike that and he has already hit 2 HRs in the game? Washington couldn't find 'intentional walk' in his magic book or what? I think Washington is giving them 'dummy pills' and telling them they "don't stand a chance" in the clubhouse.....

| Where are the Cardinal apologists? Because they can eat my ass with a wooden spoon. Fucking tired of this attitude that the Cards fucked this one up and the Rangers are simply lucky to come away with a win, so lucky in fact the Rangers should just forfeit and give the Cards the title. It is a failure to execute at the same time it is a product of good pitching. |
