Im new to AR15.com, But does anyone have or ever owned a barska scope. If so what are your thoughts on them? Seeing as how I bought three in a hurry to finish up a couple of my new toys I bought. I am seriously reconsidering them. Cannot for the life of me get any of my big guns zeroed (.308) but the one i have on my .223 works fine so far.

Junk.
They are not a quality manufacturer.....

What rifles are you using them on?
What type of shooting are you planning with your rifles?
What is your price range for optics?
What rings are you using?

If you want a cheap scope that is good quality, look at the closeout Vortex Viper models.

Or any of these

If you are interested in a fixed 10X Mil-dot, look at the bushnell 3200, only $130

I have owned several Barska products and have had zero issues with them.  Would I use them if my life depended on it?  No.  But I have had a couple of their scopes that I have used at different times on Ar's and bolt .308's and was satisfied with their performance.

They held zero and did what i needed them to do.  I wouldnt plan on spinning the knobs all the time like an expensive  tactical scope, but set it to zero and use the .mil dots and they always worked for me.  I have them on .22's now, but for the money I think they are a fair value.  And like all the imports, they are cheap enough that if they break, they just send you a new one.

Dont worry about all the optic snobs.  But dont think you are getting a great peice of glass either.

A friend of mine had one but could never get it to zero on the rifle he had.  He was thinking that maybe he just didn't get it mounted level or something.   It was like a 6-24power scope.  I borrowed it and tried it on my AR and I could never get it to zero either.  I gave it back and told him to contact Barska as it supposedly has a lifetime warranty on it.  I wasn't overly impressed with it even without the zeroing in issues.  The glass wasn't as clear as I would have expected.  I guess for the price (cheap deals sometimes) it would be ok if it was able to zero in.

I have a 6-24x50 on my Howa Axiom .308
4-16x50 on my LRT-SASS .308
Both suck and cannot zero.

What rings are you mounting the scopes in?

What is your budget for new optics?

Not to be a optic snob, but why would you mount a $100 scope on a $1500 SASS?

Maybe you should try asking your question here:
Precision Rifle forum under the Armory Tab

If you decide to post the question there, be sure to post as much details about your equipment, planned used, and budget as you can.

Had one on a rifle (.223) and it worked like a charm.

Not in any way the BEST scope out there, (It was fine on a .22 or .223, but I sure wouldn't want it on a hard kicker 12 guage slug gun or 45-70 guide gun), for what I paid for it and what I got, I think I received an O.K. value.

That said, I highly recommend Primary Arms for optics.

They will treat you right in every way, They quality test every product that comes in, they have an excellent long term warranty on everything they sell, and best of all they 101% good honest black rifle loving folks!

They have a wide range of optics (red dots, scopes and mounts) and also lots of accessories too!

(Just for the record I know this because - I once worked for them -  (for a whole week)  Even though I don't work for them, I think pretty highly of them and would purchase with zero worries)

Barska products are pretty crappy, even as cheap optics go. Any chance of being able to sell yours to get some of your money back?

As previously mentioned, either Vortex or Primary Arms are the way to go - both brands are amazingly good for the price.

They are in really good shape and i might be able to sell them. as for the mounting rings those are Barska as well i was thinking of a Leo or a Ziess for a replacment optic but they are kind of high in price but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. I will deffinatly be doing some shopping around so any advice would be much appreciated.

I bet the cheap barska rings are not helping.  I have had good luck with TRS rings (I got mine from brownells) on bolt guns.  They may also work on your 308 AR, but if you need an extended mount, I would look at LaRue, Bobro, or the burris pepr.
Here is a webpage with some good scope reviews

I would have better optics, better mount, better rings for those 308s (Looks like your rifles are for precision, longer range).  Why?
Because when something is not shooting correctly, you can just rule them out and focus on other factors like barrel, bedding, or your technique.
