Hey all,

what are your thoughts on them?
Are they worth the money or are they Tactcool?

First time I shined one in my own eyes, I could see the benefits.  That said, I wouldn't pay the $200+ for some of those lights just cause they have it.  I like my Fenix's.

I use to EDC a Fenix TK21. Bright as crap, no strobe.

Then I took a FOF class last fall. We did about 2 hours after dark in a large multi room structure. It was very apparent that it was harder to track and get good hits on the guys that had strobing lights, as long as they used good technique.

But the strobe is not some kind of magic laser that gives bad guys epileptic fits.
I ended up getting a 4Sevens Quark Tactical a few weeks later. Less than $70. It's now my EDC. I'm a believer.

I use the stinger led that has a strobing feature.  I use it at work.  Works good.  Especially when its pitch black out and there is a group of illegals walking towards us.  When we jump them, we hit the lights.  I normally hit the strobe at their faces.  It normally slows them down for a second giving you a little advantage.

I can click the switch on my taclight fast enough to not need a dedicated strobe feature.

While getting good hits on moving targets and moving yourself? If so, you are truly badass.
