I will be DJ'ing at Hibachi Rock in Allen. A friends band is also playing. I will be closing out the night. Music for the night will basically be Top40, Dance and a little bit of Electro/House. My friends band have their own original songs and cover Top 40.

Figure this would be a good venue to have a DFW ARFCOM get together.

What say you's guys???

How much electro/house percentage would you be playing percentage wise?

ETA: i have a friend who loves House music and i'd like to meet a few fellow arfcommers.

Would depend on the crowd. This is my 4th time DJ'ing at this bar and the first time all I played was EDM and Electo/House. The second time it was primarily top 40 and hip hop. New Years eve the crowd was all about top and 80's and some latin(salsa) This bar really takes the cake when it come to the taste of music. It's always been a challenge DJ'ing there. I never know which crowd shows up.

That is the bad and good thing about bars. You have to really know to read the crowd and have a shitload of different genre in your library. Unlike playing an ultra lounge like say Wish everyone know that they will be hearing EDM and House with a little dubstep and hiphop thrown in. Also their DJ booth is not so easy access, so request are unheard of. I can actually play my entire set without interruptions.

That is the long answer.

Short answer, I don't know.

The owner is a DJ himself, and if I want to come back, I better not have an empty dance floor. About the only thing the owner and I don't like to hear is country music. HAHAH

None taken dude. I don't like country music, so I don't go to country bars. I am sure its great for people that like that stuff. That is why there are different genre of music.
