Hi all! New to AR15.com & love it.
Has anyone used the gunsmith at Gun Master in Plano? I need to have a muzzle break removed & a new one FH installed permanently. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks! It is for a Bushmaster M4A3 that I bought during the whole “Post Ban” years. It has one of those annoying Mini-Y Comps on it and it’s loud as hell on the shooter. Its pined and welded and the barrel 14.5” with out it.
Would you know of any other reputable smiths in the area? |

I'm sure others will sound off on their own preferences but if it were me I would just sell the upper and get another one. Put it on the EE and see what comes of it and use that money to fund another. Just my opinion.
If you're set on changing it you might need to find one of the more national shops like ADCO to do something like that. Not sure I'd get a local smith to do something that intricate, at least if you are trying to salvage that inch or so of barrel. |

Welcome to AR15.com (ARFCOM). I live in Plano. Make sure you check in to General Discussion and introduce yourself. Be ready to answer a few questions. ETA: If you really like it and think it's useful (has saved and cost me at the same time, lot's of dough!!!) consider becoming a paid member. You won't regret it. |

Thanks 95707, I will check into Atwell Tactical. How was the pricing? EvanWilliams, you have me a little worried about introducing myself in general discussion! GD is pretty much like a short bus full of ADHD special needs kids hyped up on sugar, caffeine, and meth. It's fun but it can be tiring.

The guys who barge in are usually attention seekers who quickly get their feelings hurt. I probably never went in GD for the first three or four years I was here. |

Just don't take anything there seriously. TxSgt1911 gave a pretty accurate description of GD. |

I started out in GD and then branched out (slightly). How do you think I "earned" this sig line? Actually, good advice about lurking in GD. Test the water. |
