An employee got a ticket in the mail that said "unauthorized #'s on side" under the offence line. Anyone got an idea of what this is, he has no idea what it is for?

And it's for around $150

The only thing like that I can find is it is an offense to put any number other than the actual registration number of a motorboat on the side of a boat.  Unless he owns a boat, I'd be inclined to show up for the court date and ask for it to be dismissed based on there being no such offense for a car or truck.

And it's for around $150


I think that's about the minimum a ticket is in Texas these days.

Is this an actual ticket written by an officer or one of those traffic camera "tickets"?  What agency is it from?

I called him up and he said he did get a ticket while in his dads boat for not haveing the registration card with him. He did think it was for that though. Thanks for the help
