Friday afternoon, during cease fire (2:30 or 3:00 I believe). Some guy was putting his uncleared weapon in his white picku...BOOM!. Went between me on the 50 and the RO at the 25. The angle of the hole in the handicap parking sign gives a good idea of its initial path.

That's why I like to go to the range at some time when there is hardly anybody out there.  I can't concentrate on my target when I am tring to watch my back.  Makes me wish a range was open at 4 AM with lights.  I know it's not good business for the range, but my "personal space" when I am on the firing line is really large.  Nothing I hate worse than somebody plopping down right next to me when there are plenty of lanes open.

Sort of like standing at the pisser, I guess.

A ND will happen anywhere and to anyone. ASC has a ton of rounds down range. Maybe 100's of thousands a year.
They may have a handfull of ND's a year. Gang bangers, bubba blasters and Fuds all shoot there and 99.999% do so safely.

I can't fault ASC.  They run a nice tight ship. It's too tight for some folks here.
Most important we need to realize these are weapons and not toys. I can pack my ccw hot to ACS and shoot it and then holster and pack it hot off he firing line. I am 100% armed at ASC which is more than a lot of ranges.

I belong to a private club too. It does cut down on the crap, but last year we had an RO have an ND. Go figure.

It's not the range owners fault.
