There is no gun registration in Texas.  This is not California.  The closest thing to "in your name" a firearm is here is the 4473 that you filled out if you bought it from a dealer.  No 4473 is necessary for private sales in Texas.

If you are really worried either sell it to a dealer or sell it through a dealer, they are the only ones who can have someone fill out a 4473.  Not all of them will even do it, and all of them that do will charge a fee for it, anywhere from $10 up, but most charge $20-50 for processing a transfer.  Note that this is NOT the normal process for F2F transfers here in Texas and many buyers will legitimately balk at having to pay the extra $$$ and for the inconvenience.  The standard here is at most to check ID to validate Texas residency and age (should be over 18).  This is not legally required, you just can't have reason to believe they are prohibited from owning a firearm for some reason.  Some people will draw up two copies of a bill of sale and have both parties sign both and each keep one copy.  There is no legal requirement to do this either, it is just an extra CYA measure some people like.

Umm just sell it to whoever gives you money for it no "transfering" has to be done. Take a name and dl# if you want or ship it to someone out of state then it has to go to a ffl.
