Simply put, the "Ace" style bandages there, where did he get them?  I can go to a grocery store and get actual Ace Bandages, but the instructor mentioned the ones we were working with were just as good and didnt cost near as much.  I want to stock several kits so the cash I can save would be important.

It's like a 3 inch by 5 yard wrap with velcro on the end.

I've got the info on my laptop, but if you want to look it up go to Allmed's web site and search under "bandages".

I want to say it's called Coban, but you'll easily find it.

Eh....I meant that Coban was one of the stretchy bandages.

I wonder how that Conco Stat-Wrap works.

One thing to consider, is that in your main kit (if you have the room for the luxury) is to have a "Double-6" Ace.   It's 6" wide x 10 Yards long.   Makes compression on larger areas easier (mid-section, thighs on larger folks, whole leg/arm lengths).

Coban is good for light cuts and abrasions that aren't 'heavy leakers'.  FYI, this place is good to get supplies in bulk:  http://www.schoolhealth.com/

Thanks for the link Nationwide...this is what we used in the class.  What I like about this particular type of ace wrap is the velcro closure, no little metal pins to keep up with.  And the person who posted about the 6" wraps...good idea if you have the room in your kit.  I have a couple in my trauma bag, just hard to fit in a small kit.

The Coban was the thinner material that just adhered to itself well.  Makes any easy wrap over a small wound where you aren't concerned about appliying pressure.  If you only have room for one thing, I would go with the Ace wraps.
