Anybody else try Christmas Shiner?
I'd like a pic with the new Dillo, but no Dillo

I tried it last year...kinda like drinking a Christmas tree.

Ya know I was JUST about to post something about the new Shiner Cheer...
I like it. Not as much as the regular but, it's got a kind of sweet taste and a
pleasant aroma.
As for a pic of it with a dillo.... well my dillo should be here wed
I will post an appropriate pic then!

I was looking for Affligem Noel (great Belgium Christmas beer, hard to find) and found it. Not the Orignal but still good. I wonder if they have it fresh at the end of the tours right now.

Tried it at the brewery, haven't seen it for sale anywhere.  Smells and tastes like they threw Peach-O's into the pot when brewing it up.  I prefer my Shiner Blonde.

I got the new Dillo (this one's purple) but no Shiner.

Well, I take that back. My dog's name is Shiner - does that count?

(He was part of a 6-pack of rescue pups: Shiner, Amstel, Bud, Corona, Miller, and Stella)

Wha...?

No love for Smokehaus?  I thought it was a great summer beer; especially whist grilling ribs, steak or yardbird.

All Shiner is good!  Made in Texas, by Texans, for Texans.  Now, if only the damned bars that sell it would just quit charging import prices for a beer made within Texas!

I'll prob get alot of flak for posting this in this tread but I live 9 miles from the Shiner and I havnt found one yet thats worth drinking.....even when it was free....

Thats when I drank it this year, in our hot summer standing next to the grill. ;^)  It's a good BBQ beer I believe.  But then I like dark beers.

Someone up above mentioned Kosmos Reserve, i got that in the family reunion pack and man was it good, although i dont see it sold as a sixer in any of my local stores.

Shiner is getting into Hollywood, if you notice in the movie "The Hangover" they have a pyramid of Shiner Bock bottles in their room.  It looks like they are set up in a wetbar area of the room.
Also just last night we were watching "Two and a Half Men"  off DVR and they opened what had to have been two Shiner bocks.

Yeehaw!

I had to gravedig this thread.

The wife called me while I was on the way home from work and told me that she has a surprise for me.  When I arrived at home, all geared up for the big 'Horns game, I discovered that she had found a NEW SHINER!

Behold, Shiner Frost:

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but the beer rocks though!  It's a classic Dortmunder-style golden ale and it's damned good!  I love my wife!!!

Shiner Black is their best brew!  It's like the best of both worlds––strong coffee, and BEER!  Smooth too––not bitter.
Cheer is pretty good, though a bit too peachy to me.  Will have to try Frost, once I find some.

Tastes like it's supposed to, but it's made in Texas so I'm buying it instead of my usual Czech stuff.
