Anybody else try Christmas Shiner?
I'd like a pic with the new Dillo, but no Dillo |
|
Ya know I was JUST about to post something about the new Shiner Cheer...
I like it. Not as much as the regular but, it's got a kind of sweet taste and a pleasant aroma. As for a pic of it with a dillo.... well my dillo should be here wed I will post an appropriate pic then! |

Wha...?
No love for Smokehaus? I thought it was a great summer beer; especially whist grilling ribs, steak or yardbird. All Shiner is good! Made in Texas, by Texans, for Texans. Now, if only the damned bars that sell it would just quit charging import prices for a beer made within Texas! |

Thats when I drank it this year, in our hot summer standing next to the grill. ;^) It's a good BBQ beer I believe. But then I like dark beers. Someone up above mentioned Kosmos Reserve, i got that in the family reunion pack and man was it good, although i dont see it sold as a sixer in any of my local stores. Shiner is getting into Hollywood, if you notice in the movie "The Hangover" they have a pyramid of Shiner Bock bottles in their room. It looks like they are set up in a wetbar area of the room. Also just last night we were watching "Two and a Half Men" off DVR and they opened what had to have been two Shiner bocks. HK Ag |

Good breakfast beer. I like the way you think. I have about half a case of Shiner Cheer left. Hell, I'm still making my way through some oktoberfest beers. You need to practice your drinking more often. Hey 338 - I got my mead brewing http://www.peppersandsmoke.com/temp/mead/mead121309.jpg The bottle on the right was started about 3 weeks before the bottle on the left. http://www.peppersandsmoke.com/temp/mead/atomic_mead.jpg http://www.peppersandsmoke.com/temp/mead/airlock.jpg http://www.peppersandsmoke.com/temp/mead/krausen.jpg You've got tadpoles in your Mead... are those cloves? |

Quoted: Very appropriate name considering the weather lately.Yeehaw! I had to gravedig this thread. The wife called me while I was on the way home from work and told me that she has a surprise for me. When I arrived at home, all geared up for the big 'Horns game, I discovered that she had found a NEW SHINER! Behold, Shiner Frost: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c299/rubberfly/GetAttachmentaspx.jpg Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but the beer rocks though! It's a classic Dortmunder-style golden ale and it's damned good! I love my wife!!! |
