OK, I know you guys aren't even unpacked yet from last weekend but do we know what the dates are for the spring event? I'm trying to schedule my vacation days for 2003 and would love to come for a visit.

Thanks, Energizer. I appreciate the thought. I don't know how it can be planned around everyone, but here's my schedule. Test on 1 May Final test on 8 May Test and last day of school on 15 May I have a test approx every 3 weeks. Just plan around others; their schedule is probably easier and I'll do what I can. |

Hey Citabria, Definately bring your dad next time. I'm sure there will be many more people there this spring since its not during the holidays and it should be warmer. This means more tracers, more propane, more fireworks (stock up now before they close!) and lots more fun! ETH: is it going to be just Fri-Sun for the spring shoot? |

reconBYfire, just pretend that you are planning on visting the frontier of Texas in, say, 1885. What would you bring? Well, that's it! Cause the old Hun Farm has changed very little since Great Grandpappy Hun bought it in 1885! Now, there is a cabin that sleeps about eight to ten people, if half of them have cots or bedrolls! Or you can pitch a tent nearby, sleep in your vehicle, bring an RV, or...stay at a motel in Quanah or Crowell, like I sometimes do! There are sufficient grills out there that you don't really need to bring your own, but you may need to bring propane bottle, charcoal, etc., if you'd like. There are so many folks who come, we never lack for anything! I mean anything! Although we can always use another bottle of Jose Cuervo Gold!  Eric The(Dipsomaniac)Hun

Is there any chance of starting earlier or staying later? I should say so! Being pretty much underemployed (ask Miz Hun, she'll tell you!), I come and go to the Hun Farm just about any time I need. The cabin is for wannabees! Sleep where you pass out....pussies. The real men stay in a motel in town! Admittedly, that was because the ambient temp during the Oktoberblast 2002, were hovering just under the surface of the sun! It was sooooo hot that the mosquitos were only out a dusk and dawn! What are the forecasted temps for the spring time? |

Assuming i can come... (i almost never make plans more than 30 minutes ahead of time.) I can bring a trailer barbecue pit, its not huge but perfect for briskets, hot dogs, burgers etc.... i know i don't post much but i have been reading ya'lls post for almost a year now and am looking forward to meetin yall... well, most of you anyway.  edited to add: Cabins or tents are for pussies... real men sleep outside on the ground. And if its raining, under a tarp. |
Thats a grand idea, but might be near impossible if it rains anytime the week before. You'll definately want to check the weather a week out before bringing that... |
Not saying that at all. Hell, in that respect I'm one too. Just thinking that it will be tough to miss out on it for a couple of days if I end up going to Texas w/o the little misses!  |

Welllll, Ms Coz tells me she'll be working weekends in April with some Oracle training/implementation....... so.................at least I'll be coming to the Hun Farm....I might bring my son as he loves to shoot and he's 20 and needs to get away with his Dad. I'm gonna set him up an ID here on the site so he can start understanding what he'll be getting into....and the fact that he's in danger of being photoshopped by ilikelegs |

to the Swamp_Thing.... Ilikelegs takes pictures (digital) like I (your Dad) will and when they get put in here, he downloads em and changes them with photoshop.... Usually in an unflattering way! just ask the Red Goat or Lordtrader! BTW, Texas crew...the Swamp_Thing is my youngun.....course he's 20, so he's like...a middle ager for AR15.com..right? |
