| I'm trying to track down info on three gun matches but not having any luck. Can somebody point me in the direction of where I can find additional info for matches close to Houston? |

WHIDPA puts on a 3 gun match the 2nd Saturday of every month out at the Impact Zone near Monaville. See www.whidpa.com for more information.
That is the only regular match in the area. There are USPSA clubs in Brazoria, College Station, and Orange that each put on 1 or 2 matches a year. Information about them will be posted at the USPSA Texas South Section web site when it is available. I don't see any currently scheduled. The club in Brazoria usually has theirs on months that have 5 Saturdays. The other two clubs are pretty random as to when they hold them. Once a year Comp-Tac holds a large match with prizes at the Impact Zone. Info from last match is here. I believe they are planning on having it again this October. |

To add to Jason's post,
I believe there is a quarterly 3 gun match (5th Sat or Sun of the month) at Greenwood range down toward Lake Jackson. As far as WHIDPA, we run a one class multigun match. We do hot transitions and typically shoot 4 scenarios oer match. Rifle scenarios run 5 - 100+ yds, shotgun shot 7 - 25 yds, slug 30 - 50 yds and pistol contact to 25 yds. Any questions let me know Bob Match Director |

Yes I am involved.
To shoot you will need an IDPA legal firearm (go to www.idpa.com) A strong side holster (go to www.idpa.com) no cross darw, SOB, shoulder) If it is your first time, just tell the match director and they will walk you through the basics You can also go to www.whidpa.com for further information of what it takes to shoot a match equipment wise. All we expect is a good attitude and a safe mind set. Typical Wed night match is about 60 rounds, probably 6 scenarios Bob |
