Started off the day at 5:45. I headed to College Station to take my CHL class at Champions Firearms. We qualified first, and I shot a 248, not perfect but not too bad. Then it was classroom time. I quite enjoyed learning about the Texas Penal Code, and Verbal Judo and having open discussion about various situations and what we thought, and what was law. Scored a 100% of my written exam, so I was good to go. I have to say Katie and Mike are some of the best instructors I've had in any aspect of life. They knew what they were talking about, and were awesome teachers. I'll send my packet out tomorrow to the state, and hopefully have it back in a few months time.(I've heard they are pretty backed up right now...)
After the class was over, I had been eyeing a Remington 870 pump. I've been wanting a basic tactical shotgun or something similar. I picked up an 870 Synthetic with 18" barrel and 7 round capacity. I've officially got all the weapons I need now to participate in a 3-Gun match. Quick question though. How can you tell if a barrel or gun is pakerized or not?
