I'm just glad they were sold to/bought by another company instead of being bailed out.

Hell, our country might just be starting to press the reset button.  Can't say I don't like what I'm seeing.

Think again....JPMorgan Chase & Co bought banking assets only. Taxpayer will end up with "ill mortgage backed securities" as they are called now, held by WAMU....

Glad I am voting Libertarian come november.

We're screwed no doubt.  People all get a warm fuzzy when they hear the government is going to "bail out" these companies and fix the economic crisis.  Its as if people think money grows on tree's.  700 billion dollars printed is going to be funded whether through us paying taxes, or us paying out the ass in inflation.

Its as simple as that, bottom line we will be paying for the mistakes of others because our government had the brilliant idea that it has some kind of role is "saving" the economy.

In addition, companies with shareholders who were trying to hold it together are now just going to say "F it, let's get the Govt money" Thanks Congress, you started us down a very slippery, expensive slope.

And you'll be throwing away that vote.  Sad but true.

Obama thanks you.

Just as Ross Perot helped Clinton win, voting anything but McCain puts the Dems in office.

In this state, it won't matter.  McCain will win the TX electoral votes handily.

I honestly can't vote for someone who never saw this coming and who just last week was saying the "fundamentals of the economy are sound"! He keeps flip flopping with whichever direction wind is blowing. Is he really pro 2nd amendment? Only when he started his campaign.
At least with Dems I know where I stand. I will not be voting for Dem, but if my vote for bob Barr helps them then so be it.
GOP has strayed away from its core values lately, and may be a reminder in the form of a little shock is in order.

These are not the times for "a little shock".

You have all that is and can be wrong on one side, Barrack Hussein Obama and the Democratic Party.

Then you have what is mostly right on the other side in John McCain and the Republican Party.

Then you have the "see we're here" group that has Barr, Paul, and of all god damned people, Cynthia McKinney involved.  Sorry, but it dont get much more wrong than that shit.  They know they havent a prayer, they arent even going to try.  I cant fathom what they think might be accomplished over there.  I do know that casting that vote towards them enhances the chances that the most wrong candidate in the US of A being elected.

You might need to check into John McCain a bit more. Back in 2005 he was trying to get a bill passed to reign in some of the fraudulent lending.
