So if anyone had dejavue today just maybe. From what I read they just started it up but didn't inject any atoms.. Yet.

I believe they fired them in the clockwise direction, then next time will be the counterclockwise direction.  The third time they will fire both at once to make them collide.  That's when we all get sucked into the blackhole !

correct.

I can't believe how many people I had to correct today when they were talking about them "testing" the collider today.

no collisions or anything like that.

Again, I believe it will work great and we'll see if things like String theory is actually true, but the doomsday people are talking about the first collisions creating things we didn't plan for.

Bejeebus...  those doomsday people are nuts...  Its not like we haven't smashed atoms before.  Sure, this collider is bigger and badder, but nobody in their right minds thinks that us puny humans can create a black hole from a few atoms.  It takes huge amounts of mass and energy to do that, like what happens when a star goes supernova.

The Dallas County Commissioners have created a black hole.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc1zGRUPztc
