This past weekend I went to Tiger Valley for their Level 2 Pistol Class. The class was small...REALLY small...me and one other person! T.J. and Bruce basically provided 2 days of private lessons and drilled us on many skills. The timer is both your best friend and worst enemy. As always, instruction was top notch and I came away a better shooter. If you have an opportunity to attend a class in Waco for pistol, shotgun, carbine, etc. DO IT!!! You are receiving some of the best training available for a BARGAIN! Things to consider for attnedance at T.V. for almost any event: Bring more Mags than you think you will need. They like to shoot...A LOT! Bring more food/water/gatoraid/provisions than you think you will consume. It was hot as hell this past weekend and hydration was a challange. Poor hydration = fatigue = poor performance. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!! Double check your gear and weapons and make sure they are up to the task at hand. This aint a day at the range punching paper...this was about 800-1000 rounds per day in 100 degree weather! Bring an open mind and listen. If you pay attention to half of what you are exposed to, you will be a much better shooter at the end of the day. Thanks again to T.J., Bruce, and Benjamin! |
