I'm waiting on my plastic from Austin and am trying to decide on carry weapon/holster options. I thought I had narrowed it down to a Sig P232 .380 for several reasons: my weekend attire prevents IWB holsters (I wear fitted jeans that just won't allow), the 232 is reliable, I shoot it well and I figured with an untucked shirt on the weekends I could carry it OWB or SOB. Am I making the wrong choice? I currently also own a Glock 17 and Springfield 5" Loaded Stainless .45. I just feel like those are too big to carry OWB. Are there any places close to Dallas that has a great selection of holsters and options for carry? I really need some expert help here. Thanks in advance for any help. |
| Can’t help you with the DFW part but if you want a holster I would go kydex or some other plastic. I think you will find they are about half the thickness as a leather holster. The market was dominated by leather a few years ago and they do a great job but I don’t think they are as easy to wear as kydex. |
