Getting stationed down in San Antonio. Is the CLEO Class 3 friendly down there for signing Form 4s? Have a couple of Arsenal guns I want to SBR and need to know if I need to submit the paperwork and get it back before I move. Thanks! |

Havent heard of any problems at all. Go talk to the guys out at The Bullet Hole they will be better able to fill you in. I know guys though that just bought MAC 11s and silencers and whatnot. Always seems though there is going to be someone around to butt into the conversation and just say NO THEY DONT SIGN OFF! But there is a class 3 dealer and gunsmith in SA that can do all your SBR stuff. Its Dale Wise Custom Guns 1402 Blanco Rd San Antonio, TX (210) 734-9999 Hope you love the city as much as I did i sure miss it! Cheers Austin |

I live here, and have "danced" with both the beloved CLEO AND the ATF. Having said that I would go the trust route and never look back. If you are not in Bexar county, then you're in like flynn (unless you're in harris (the armpit) but that's a ways north) because both helotes and boerne have good guys I know. I am not sure how it will work if you keep the guns on base or in the arms room as I've never been in that boat. Enjoy San An, it is a strange mix of liberals and conservatives, welfare (here we call it "lonestar") cases and the well to do. ETA: The bullet hole is my preferred shooting range/ ccl renewal place, but I would only deal with Michelle (the owner) the other workers are pretty much what you would expect............if you don't expect much. YMMV |

The good gun shows are about 3 hours east, in Houston. SAXET Shows Occassionally, there's another show that comes into the NE side in Live Oak. Save your gas or make the drive to Austin, IMO. Welcome to the area! |
