With a successful legislative session behind us, it's time to start looking forward to the next round. With that in mind, I'm issuing a challenge. If you're not a member of the Texas State Rifle Association, join here. If you're already a member, your wife, kids, and in-laws probably need their own memberships. If you want to help out even more, donate to the TSRAPAC, the lobbying arm in Austin. You can do so by following the directions here. If you do any of the above, please post it here. Also include the number one issue you would like the TSRA to pursue during the next session. I'll edit my post to tally up the issues and money periodically. And we're off: Possum-Sandwich - Renewed membership + $25 to TSRAPAC; open carry. oldfool - membership; lift restriction on auto knives for CHL holders 1IV - active member; protection/creation of state park ranges ARTX - donation; protection for employees with weapons in vehicles sirostac - new 3 year membership wlchase - new membership for wife; protection/creation of state park ranges 338winmag - $50 bjones4545 - conditional Life membership; all of the above, plus elimination of "gun-free zones" for CHL holders SilentRun - Life member sirostac - membership clharr - membership; eliminate gun free zones; create park ranges; open carry MOS2111 - membership; elimination of gun free zones; protection for ranges from city ordinance of closure roseco - Benefactor member kyreb - membership +$25 to TSRAPAC; protection for employees with weapons in vehicles dholder - membership 82ndAbn - Life membership; open carry DVDTracker - 3 year membership TomB7777 - active member + $20; open carry Bartholomew_Roberts - 3 year membership +$50 to TSRAPAC; protection/creation of ranges; forcing DAs and municipalities to obey laws; election of more pro-RKBA politicians |

I sent them 50 bucks back on the first when I paid bills, just for the hell of it. I love their return address stickers. I add some of their other stickers when I have to correspond with big brother. ETA: I wish they would work toward a lifetime CHL, like some other states have. |

+1 on all of the proposals mentioned above. Also, please pursue the right for CHL holders to carry anywhere. Help rid our state of gun free/kill free zones. Let's not allow what happened at Virginia Tech happen in Texas. Btw.....I changed/upgraded my yearly membership to the Conditional Life membership. |

Annual member here. I have not been here all that long, but got here as fast as I could. Anyway...mailed a $25 donation this afternoon. I really want to be able to have my CHL in the car at work. They just swept through with the gun/dope/alcohol search dogs last week. Rick |

TSRA is going to address this again next session. I had dinner with Alice Tripp (Legislative Director of TSRA) a couple days ago. She said the bill would have passed but they literally ran out of time. Hopefully we can get it pushed next session. CMOS |
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz4pTMN3abw Just renewed for three years. |
| Renewed for three years last year and sent $50 to TSRAPAC after the successful legislative session. Top priority for me is protection of existing ranges/creation of new ranges, second is forcing relcalcitrant DAs and municipalities to abide by laws already passed, third is getting more pro-RKBA politicians elected. |
