OK, I get it, we're going to have rain every cotton-pickin' day.  But for the love of God, does it have to come in the form of THUNDERSTORMS?!?!  I am frickin' TERRIFIED of lightning, and this is our second storm today!!!

yup, Mami.

we all can use the rain, but  c'mon...I agree...

cut out the boom-booms.

skeers hell outa my livestock.

(me too, sometimes, like when one of them 50,000 caliber bolts nailed a poplar tree right next to me. Yow! I thought a 155 went off. the searing heat of that bolt split that poplar into a million toothpick size bits in a heartbeat. never thought I could "sweep up" a huge tree, but I did! funniest thing you ever saw. I still keep a couple of them poplar pieces as a souvenir.)

A couple of years ago (when the first wife was still here) there was a lightning strike here at this house.  It made the water under the cement driveway boil.  The driveway exploded under their van.  They ended up with a new van and a new driveway.

That shit scares the hell out of me!

They piss me off also.

Sat - when we had the last bad one - My TV was blown out ------ 36" regular tubed JVC.

(Big thunder clap by my house , notice TV n living room is off)

Start checking, everything else works, - It won't turn on..
Check Power cords - yep - it musthave been popped by the lightning somewhere close by.

Oh well -- gonna cost about $160 to fix.

Better than buying the new 50" Flat screen that I was about to replace it with.

I wasn't gone. My job just had me traveling 3-4X a week. And I was spending every other weekend in CA. Also training in Martial Arts again. Leaves almost zero time to post. Glad to see I was missed by some though.
