Hi all,

Looking for opinions on a good class for my wife to goto to lead up to getting her CHL. I live in frisco so somewhere close would be nice, also would like to be able to rent a couple of different pistols for her to try out. She has no experience with a pistol and very little with a rifle so I'd like her to learn from a professional (I have been teaching her the basics of the rifle but I know very little about pistols).

Thanks.

Both TDSA and Tiger Valley have Ladies Only classes.  I do not know the status of the TDSA classes, but you can get info at www.tdsa.net .  Tiger Valley is having their next Ladies Pnly Class on Sept 8, 2007, my wife and several others on this board recently took this class and recommend it.  Tiger Valley's website is www.tigervalley.com

TDSA is located between Ferris and Segoville off Malloy Bridge Rd.  Tiger Valley is located approx 17 miles NE of Waco near the town of Watt.

With either of these places, it is best to contact them by phone to receive the most current info.

Both places are good recommendations.
To add to the directions to Tiger Valley... From Waco, take HWY 84 heading E towards Mexia. Like above, its near, actually past, the town of Watt, just before Limestone County Road 126. It'll be on your left hand side, kind of hard to notice if you're not looking for it.
I live just up the road in Mexia, never been, but planning a trip to their classes.

My wife and two of her friends drove down from Dallas and to the womens' class at Tiger Valley.  They all enjoyed it and received good instruction.  She's to the point now that she will go to the range with me (hasn't happened yet).  She's much more comfortable with a handgun now.
