How old are ya? I remember seeing it when it was "freshly" in theaters.... yeah it was scary, but the cold war was scary at that time - mutually assured destruction, etc. The movie was a "ray of hope". Also notice the parallels between the Afghan mujahadeen of that time and the wolverines. |

Think about the parallels now with the way the Cubans infiltrated the US in Red Dawn, and our totally secure border today! It's still scary. |
| Definately a classic flick! The acting is sub-par, and the movie is pretty unrealistic. But, for cheap entertainment... The DVD cannot be beat. I'm sure that I've watched my copy at least 50 times or more (especially when I was heavy into AK type rifles). The story-line is very cool. |
