SW 3913...Still have it in the safe....
SW 3913 always wonders why I have fed his other brothers but him....I told him that of all my adopted children, you are the only one never help me to shoot any better, not like your other brothers, 1911s and G23.
SW has always accepted his fate well...

Old surplus 1911. Bought it off a guy ETSing for $200. Got stolen out of my truck. Bought another one, Springfield Armory 1911 in '92. Paid right at $400 for it from Jim's in Fayetteville. Got stolen out of my apartment.

Now I've got several, but the next sumbitch that tries to break in and steal them has some surprises in store...

First one I ever OWNED -- Colt New Service in .45 Colt -- my grandfather gave it to me at age 8.  Still have and cherish it.  First one I bought -- Remington 1911, WWII version -- purchased new for $50.00 at Buckhorn in downtown Dallas, 1961 -- that's how old I am.  Had to sell it years ago when we kept having children.

My entry into the handgun world was via a LORCIN .380 (from Bachman Pawn?) circa 1994. It was a POS that failed catastrophically on the 3rd mag. No workee again.

After that I had nothing to do with handguns again until June 2004, when I thought I'd try again. I got a SIG p-225 (again from Bachman) and haven't looked back.

My dad bought a Beretta 92 with my lawn mowing money when I was 16. I later traded it (well Dad actually did as I was still a pup) for a Series 70 Gold Cup.

The first pistol I actually bought was a Ruger .22 with a 5" bull barrel at age 18 from an individual at a gun show. Long since sold.

And the first 4473 I filled out for a pistol was on my 21st birthday at a Dallas show for a 5906 with adj sights. Still got it and I still enjoy shooting it, although I prefer .45 caliber now.

I guess you might be a gun nut if you're more interested in buying a pistol on your 21st birthday than you are in buying alcohol.

First handgun I bought with my own money was a Sig 229.  Don't miss it.

First one was beat and I dropped a wad. I got a Walther P99. She is still sweet and I hit where I aim with her. I got her in 2000. I hate the S&W 99 it looks terrible next to my baby. She is still chugging along. Reminds mw I need to get some more 40 shipped to the house for when I get home and can start to throw lead with my own guns again, and not have to do it on a two way range.
