Last year, at a Tom Bean shoot, someone had a nylon denier cover on their EOTech, that you did not have to remove to see thru the sight. Anyway I am horrible with names, so I dont know who it was. He was saying he was working at becoming a domestic supplyer of these. Does anybody know if these are available yet? ETA: I think it was the same guy who brought the AR in .458SOCOM |
Ah yeah, that's it Rogue007. I made a cheesy-ass "scabbard" with some canvas duck for my 22 lever action.... I'm not claiming to know how to sew... just that I can kinda drive that machine that knows how to sew. Nothing I'd really want to show anybody.

If your person doesn't work out, let me know. My wife took one of the buttstock magazine holders for my M-4 stock, and made one for my A1 stock and A2 stock. They fit like a glove. She didn't have to take the original one apart, just measured it. Went to the craft store, bought the black nylon webbing and heavy cloth, some heavy-duty velcro and some snaps. Sat down at this machine called a 'Surger', and minutes later, viola, pieces of art. |
Actually, I've heard that batteries (esp. Lithium) are cold-sensitive... but I've never been in cold enuff conditions to see it for myself.... Nah, just a little O.D. bling and some protection from bumps and scrapes. Actually, I thought there could be an additional feature added to them: Flaps over the front and rear windows, "hinged" at the top, with a velcro tab at the bottom to secure them closed for storage... then when your eotech is in use, you'd "swing" the flaps up onto the top where one would velcro to the other to stay up and open. They could be hinged on the same side instead, and fold them back onto each other for "in use". |
Actually Lithium batteries work better than Alkaline in cold weather. |
