Does anyone ever get together and play? I know shooting the real things are more fun, but sometimes paintball can be fun too. I dont really like the organized fields, but really enjoy a bunch of people gettin together and playin in the woods for a day or two.
I havnt played in a couple of years and am fixing to try and sell my gear(not advertising it here) just dont want to sell it and then be sorry later.

I actually think paintball is better than shooting real guns..............its not like you can fire your real guns at each other.......

I want to purchase a good but not expensive paintball gun for some fun and excersize.

Mine is a couple of years old, but only been used a handfull of times.
I think i might keep it just in case.

I didnt like paintball.  Tried it twice.

We had no camo, and range rental guns.  Got our asses handed to us by a buncha 13 year old punks with $800 guns, spare ammo speedloads, spare gas, full camo, lots of experience.

No thanks.  It was just an expensive ass whoopin.

I have found it alot better if you can get your own guns, abunch of buddies get together and go out in the woods on some private land somewhere. I wont go to a public range.

I used to play on a real amatuer tour team.   Paintball is a blast.  I never cared a lot for woods play.  It was generally too slow.   Speedball (general term for small field play) was an adrenaline rush that is unreal.   Even though you know you will only sustain bruises from hits, you still try to not get hit as if it was a 45 slug coming at you.   Of course on the circuit we only played inflatables but I was always partial to our homemade courses of wood pallets, wood spools, plywood, and whatever else we could get for free.   Tires made a good course.

I have around 2K in my cocker with my first generation electronic trigger ordered straight from switzerland or somewhere.  I don't even remember. It had a serial port cable that connected to my laptop to change the timing and such.  I actually had to take my laptop whenever I played. That was 4-5 years ago.   THat's right 2K in a paintball gun.  You may also be shocked to know that there are guys and gals that play for a living!   It is a sport!

i used to play years ago. but the 13 year olds started showing up with all the top top of the line stuff and i just didn't see spending a $1000.00 bucks to keep up. but it was a blast till then the adrienne rush and trying out different tactics was great. maybe a Private group outing would be fun.
what about use the ar's and body armor with light loads? that would be a rush.

I used to play just about every weekend for almost 3 years (I worked there for a year also)

It's some of the best fun you can have with pants on!

I've never done it, but think it would be fun as hell!  I'd want a situation where we could play with ourselves, though, and not get our asses whipped by preteens!

Please.  While I do value the experience gained... and the lessons learned, there is a VAST difference in how PB is played amongst kids in a field, versus how I would be in a real situation in my life.  The weapon sights were worthless.... our guns malfunctioned, we didnt have approriate gear, reloads, ammo, clothing, and knowledge of the area.  You would *expect* a group like us to get our assess handed to us in this type of situation against a force of better equipped, better trained, familiar locals.

It aint worth the investment of time and money to know I can eventually take revenge on a bunch of snotty 13 years olds.

3 words:

Fucking Paint Greandes!

3 more words:

Fucking Paint Mines

I used to play paintball, and even for a fatass, I was pretty good.  Paintballs tend to bounce of my natural body armor (also known as gut) without breaking.  Most didnt like to use paint grenades or mines but (we) did, because we knew what they were capable of.

I came in second in the "We Were Soldiers Challenge" a few years ago to my partner in crime, Andy.  I got credited with well over 100 KIAs of them pesky Varmint Congs and Nathaniel Victors.

Tore my left knee and ankle  3 years ago, and havent played since.  I would like to take up the sport again this summer, as my knees are much better, and my ankle is back to 100%.

Damn I forgot the world is  perfect. Everyone plays by the rules and there are never any unforeseen shortages or malfunctions right.

Sorry but the internet is no substitute for training. If you can't handle a real life paintball match and learn a few things from those that are more experienced, however old they may be, then there is no hope for you. Some times you just have to stick it out and keep at it. Some people may have to one day rely on you. Are you willing to let them down because a few punk kids shot you up with their $1.5K paintguns? Hell I have met kids that have more experience fighting in war than a 13 year tabbed NCO did. Good luck with that

Naw different Andy.  Andy is my cousin.  He never made it to the Hun Farm though, damned if I didnt try to get his ass there.  Andy also posts under this screename, tends to get me in a bit of trouble sometimes.  Cheap fuck wont get his own account.
