Anyone ever taka course with the folks at Tiger Valley? I'm considering taking a 3-gun prep course and possibly some more advanced carbine / combat arms courses with them. Thanks in advance for the feedback. out.

I took the advanced carbine class last year, it was very good. Just did the 1 day carbine tune-up for a review and it was well worth the trip. Also have shot 2 or 3 3-gun matches there and have a shotgun class scheduled.

I've taken some courses out there and liked them a lot.

I've taken the 3-gun prep course, and it's different than their other courses. They focus more on improving your strategy instead of shooting skills like their other courses.

I took the basic and advanced handgun classes last year.  The instruction was very good and practical.  We did a whole lot of shooting, which I think was very beneficial.  They mix things up (moreso in the advanced class) so you are not just shooting at paper or steel all day.  TJ and the other instructors are knowledgeable and approachable and I made some friends with whom I still communicate.  My skills took a quantum leap after the classes.

I have not taken the carbine classes but plan on doing so.  My first three gun was last fall at TV and I think it was good training/practice and great fun.  I plan on attending the next three gun in February.

Also, I think the classes are a great value.  I watched training course prices for a couple years in the DFW area but never jumped in to take a class.  They seemed expensive and I was not sure how practical they would be.  Then I heard about TV and the price and jumped in.  In short, I don't have anything negative to say about TV.

I have taken a few.  I enjoyed every one, and learned a ton.
