Just a rant but I totally got hosed at the market hall gunshow by those guys. Paid $27.00 for a magpul enchanced trigger guard. The only problem is the website sells them for $23.00. I figure you would get a better deal at the gunshow. Just kinda pissed me off once I got on their website. |
I've never actually been able to buy anything from them. Seems like they'd much rather ignore people than make a sale of any sort. When you do get their attention, they pretty much act like you're trying to kill them. mm |
I bought 2 at Sherry Blann's table for $19 each. Mark from Delta Force is always at The Market Hall show helping her. And they are from Arkansas so no tax either. They always get my business. They are great to work with. They always have almost every little tiny item you are looking for, for the AR 15. Sorry you got hosed. I agree that SOG Armory has lots of noce stuff to look at, but ou can always find it cheaper somewhere else or online. The Internet is the best thing to happen to the consumer.

these guys buy and sell stuff at gun shows. the are one of the few tables that really do sell a lot of stuff. so they don't have time to stand around and bull shit with you or wait for you to decide what you want to put on a gun. they are selling to a guy who knows what they want. if you want an "X" they will have it. you can always oder and get a better deal but expect to pay shipping so it's not that good a deal. ![]() i have never had any problems buying from them. i can see they are busy so i may have to wait a minute for them to complete a sale or two in front of me. but i get my stuff, pay cash and get out of their way. you didn't get hosed on the gun part you wanted. you got a fair price and you chose to pay that price. whining now does nothing but make you look like a punk. |

Yes, sog is higher. However, They will probably have what you want and have it with them. You want cheaper, look around for a few hours. Or order online and wait up to 7-8 days and hope you don't get a backorder e-mail. I look at them as the 7-11 of gun shows. If you want it right now at the gun show, you're gonna pay for it. But you walk out with said item in hand and you're happy. I get buyers remorse every now and then too.... |
You examined a product from a local dealer... you had all the time in the world to research it.... you agreed to buy said product at their price... and now somehow you got "hosed" ?
|
| Actually most items i buy from them seem to be cheaper then MSRP. I baught a POF rifle from them for 1500 last year. Thats over 100 dollers under MSRP. there Timney drop in triggers are 10 or 15 bucks under MSRP. I guess they like me or just like giving me discounts. |

I've gotten some good deals, and some not so good deals, from them. I'm sure it cost a lot to keep the inventory they do so if I see something I want I get it. If I think it's too high I don't. I got a good deal on a Timney trigger but paid a little too much for a railed handguard. It works out in the long run. At least I got to look the item over before I paid for it. They do seem to stay pretty busy. If I want to buy something I don't wait for someone to ask if they can help me. I get their attention one way or another. I've had the same experience with other dealers as well. mgfan58 |
| I've never seen any knife dealers at any of the DFW area gun shows that have as many Strider Knives on their table as SOG does, so I know they're plowing a heck of a lot of money into inventory. I agree that their touch with potential customers ain't all that great, but they do have a wide assortment to choose from. |

SOG has always been cool to me... I like talking with them. They are any more "jerkier" than any of the other gun show dealers. I'd say as far as pleasant to talk to... the Delta Force guy (cant remember his name), the old guy who sells Olympic Arms rifles, and Robbie are some of the nicest... who dont look at you like you are wasting their time. I do really hate chatting with almost all of the EBR dealers.... or dealers in general. I go to look at stuff, buy occasionally, and hang out with friends. |
Don't forget you paid $7 to get in, so that part actually cost you $34. |
Always check with Delta Force, Mark has the best prices on the items they sell. i always buy from them. FireBlade |
I think I bought my Magpul ladder rail cover from them at the Market Hall show. They were the only dealer there who had Coyote Brown. I needed one rail cover, and I wasn't about to pay shipping and handling for the one item. It was $11.95. That's a fair price, and one I was willing to pay. They DO have a LOT of cool stuff to look at. If they were cheaper, they would be sold out of all that neat stuff! |
Man I wish I saw this thread sooner! Yeah those guys tried to sell me a gas tube for $18 bucks! W/O the roll pin mind you...prolly would've cost me 20 then...I ended up getting one at Texas Tactical ( I think that's the name) from Brian for $11...Great guy real honest...Another incident was when i saw the RRA stock wrench being sold for $14! Geez! Oh but they'll pay the tax for you....pffft! spare me...The only thing I bought from them was a smith vortex which was $45....which turns out to be the older version....ARGH!!! That was my mistake I accepted that I'm new to this...I know better now though...
