I took an EMT-B course and passed the National Registry test in Indiana and have an Indiana state EMT-B license. How do I get that transferred to Texas or get Texas to recognize it?

Texas also is part of the National Registry program.
All EMS standards, agencies, and personnel are regulated by the Department of State Health Services.  Their EMS section is under -->Bureau of Emergency Management
EMS Standards.  Their main EMS/Trauma webpage is titled EMS/Trauma Systems.
It has links to the section you need......--> Certification/Licensure, then go to --> Reciprocity Certification.

This section outlines what you need to do.....I believe you can even submit your application online.
And fyi... their number is (512) 834-6700

A lot of colleges offer the course. I went to an accelerated course --14 days, 12 hours a day-- in Bloomington, Indiana.  www.emtinc.net
