| I took an EMT-B course and passed the National Registry test in Indiana and have an Indiana state EMT-B license. How do I get that transferred to Texas or get Texas to recognize it? |

Texas also is part of the National Registry program. All EMS standards, agencies, and personnel are regulated by the Department of State Health Services. Their EMS section is under -->Bureau of Emergency Management EMS Standards. Their main EMS/Trauma webpage is titled EMS/Trauma Systems. It has links to the section you need......--> Certification/Licensure, then go to --> Reciprocity Certification. This section outlines what you need to do.....I believe you can even submit your application online. And fyi... their number is (512) 834-6700 Be Safe & Take Care.... TexasAg |
| A lot of colleges offer the course. I went to an accelerated course --14 days, 12 hours a day-- in Bloomington, Indiana. www.emtinc.net |
