Well, ya'll wanted a nature preserve, you've got it.
I just saw on the news that people who live next to Cross Timbers Park want the city to "Hire a professional company to capture and relocate the copperheads".
You have got to be kidding me. I wonder what it costs to get snakes relocated?

Maybe they should "relocate" themselves from where the snakes live, after all, they wanted a nature preserve.

Hey, they might as well up up "No Snakes" signs.  It's a nature preserve.  Damn people.  As much as I hate snakes, these people are worse.  They want it both ways.

most snakes like that make cool pets.  not that you want to pet them but a buddy in Jr.  high had a rattler.  in 50 gal tank.  he would feed it live mice.

I was spraying cattails in one of our city's parks and walked up on 2 water moccasins. I also walked up 2 bull snakes, one of which was about 5 feet long.
The only relocating was done by me- real quick.

We've got similar probs here in So Dalllas Co/No Ellis Co.  Tons of new cnstruction, and the people are shocked that Fluffy and Rex are getting eaten by the occasional mountain lion or yote.

oh my god!  SNAKES!  Idiots.  Leave the damn things alone, except the copperheads, screw relocating them, get a shovel and kill them.  Relocating them will do ALOT of good morons, if it's a good environment, more will show up, and NO capture or kill program will ever find them all, not to mention copperheads are livebirthers and breed like crazy.
