Just piles and piles of trash left by the burn pit.  We arent burning trash there anymore..... people were supposed to cart it out when they left, and drop it off near town.  I know thats tough for those without trucks.....

Agreed, we are guests at the farm the least we can do is pick up after ourselves. As often as everyone makes trips into town during the weekend for showers and what ever, the least we can do is take it with us as we go

Lets get this done gentlemen

I took several bags with me when I left, how about you ?

In all the Hun Farms I've been at, granted not many, all you see people carting out is their belonging out the farm. There is alway 6-10 guys left behind cleaning up after 50 or so that just left there shit. Shells, brass, etc. Another reason I don't like attending when its a huge crowd.

Good Points all. I left Saturday night. I remember picking trash up Friday and Saturday that had just been dropped on the ground. Not brass, but plastic cups, napkins, plates etc.  The pictures I saw from Sunday looked pretty messed up.

I'll most always leave earlier than those of you who live closer, but I'd be glad to haul it to a trash can. I can make trips as I leave to the hotel each night also. There is a rest area between Crowell and the farm that has trash cans, so it wouldn't be a long haul.

I'll bring a box of heavy duty bags the next time I make it to the Farm to help facilitate trash removal.

Sorry I have to leave early or I would certainly help in final clean up.....but I have to get home to spend SOME time with Ms. Coz....

I there was a lot of trash left on the ground at the cabin the river and the range. Jeff, lacy, courtney and me picked a bunch of it up. Some folks even left rope in the trees from there tents. It was all picked up but the trash is in the fire pit still. So does some one need to  drive back out there  with a pick truck and  get the trash? I maybe able to go back down and grab the trash but I would have to get a key and signed paper from Eric to do so.  My pickup is only 2 wheel drive so I would have to wait till it drys out some.

Last time I was at the Hun Farm with FAL and couple more people and we picked a lot of brass and burned a lot of trash....And we picked only around the cabin and shooting area down the hill.

BTW...July 4th sounds good...But it would be damn hot.  I remember one July 4th 3 yrs ago that ETH couldn't stand that he had to check in a hotel, and TRG and I hit the Pease river for a swim.

Zhukov and I hauled out 5 over-stuffed bags of trash over the course of the weekend.  Far more then we hauled in.  I'll find some time to go back out and do some more clean up/repairs.  I seriously doubt I will be available for these bigger gatherings in the future.   Y'all have fun.   To those who ALWAYS go above and beyond to help out, THANKS, you are what make the farm a truly special place.  To those that ALWAYS "shit and split" ....

I saw the trash in some of the images that were posted. It didn't look good, yet I didn't worry too much because I certainly expected the area to be policed before people left.

Oops!

I'll be looking for the next dates (if there are any). I've heard much about the Hun Farm, but never been there. I'm looking forward to a fall gathering.
July is not a good month for me - I have a family vaction to the Grand Canyon planned.

You know that you are always welcome to use the Farm anytime you wish!

I quite understand your attitude regarding the trash out there on occasions.

We've been cleaning up the messes that others leave for a long time now and it does get quite old.

So, go out there anytime you have the time....and just imagine the time you save in not picking up someone else's garbage.

I didn't make much of a mess (except for my brass steel). Er, besides puking on the ground a little bit...

But I didn't follow my own rule of leaving a place better than I found it.  My apologies.  No excuse.

Er, what is the feeling on brass?  I should have asked...  Do you want the brass policed?

I start my fieldbasing this fall, so... anytime before August 23rd would work for me. Looking forward to it if scheduling allows!
