Now aside from the ring mount which will soon be replaced with lower rings to even it up a bit. This is it.

Jesus people guess none of you have handled a real G36.

I've seen some guns that were down right ugly as sin and this isn't one of them.

I don't know about Fugly. Personally, I think it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie or something, but then again, alot of movies change up the furnature on guns to make them look different. If Fister likes his gun, then leave it at that. Besides, it really is unique.

To each his own. I love it. Its rather perfectly balanced with two loaded mags or two empty ones. It will be one hell of a bench gun and hunting rifle. Cant wait to get to the range to see how it groups.

I shot one when cross training with a German Naval Boarding team....
Loved it so much that I want a real one. I am not even going to try the SL8 route.

If you like it go for it.

As long as you like it, thats what counts. It certainly is unique.
I would build mine differently, and thats whats awesome about the AR platform is that you can build it the way you want to.

I'll be interested to see how that pistol grip feels. I've always stuck to the A1/A2 grips. I had one of those funky target grips on my V-match once but didn't like it. Of course my tendency has always been toward more basic KISS builds, but this one is definitely a departure from ANYTHING I've seen before.

Glad it finally all came together, and you're happy with it. I'll be interested to see how it shoots. That is the ultimate test.
