Good deals on 308 battle packs... SA 20 per 140 Port 30 per 200 yes the 7.62x39 was not in great supply but should get better again after the 1st. Its was going for 125 per 1K FMJ. Ok ok I am set for a while on the .308 stuff. My DPMS will love me for it. Met up with Fireblade, TexasEd, and walked around with Makarov_Mami looking for a 32 to add with her collection she tells us. Sold out of Tannerite, thanks to all who purchased some. One guy had it for 10 per bottle !! WOW ! More to order if anyone would like to purchase. The line was still to the parking lot when we left at 1130..that was something I havent seen for awhile. Well I got there a little past 12:00 was trying to see if I could find a familiar face to go to lunch with. Was gonna pick up something for the gift exchange at FALARAK's next weekend. Did not find anything. My mind, for some reason, was fixated on getting a Glock19. However, I did not have the funds for it. So I just went home. |

I had a good time! I accidentally brought home a Beretta Tomcat in .32 and a case of tannerite. SigZiggy and I took a short break for lunch at Dick's Last Resort, and I accidentally bought a tank top there before returning to the show. Then I accidentally bought 2 more magazines for the Beretta and a Fobus holster for the Sig I got last week, Then it was time to go home before I accidentally bought any more stuff...

9 am is the opening time for the public. Sundays are slower in the mornings, busy after lunch and tend to get a little thin around 3pm when most of the dealers start to pack up and head out. Crowds were very heavy today, hopefuly they'll be the same tomorrow. Model one has restocked on some of the items we were out of today. |

I didn't get to go until later in the afternoon.... I was, however, able to score a good deal on some polymer mags though. I too, got the impression that there is a shortage of the bulk stuff. Everyewhere I went, seems that all anyone had was Silver Bear (which my Rock River hates). I bought up what I could afford of the remaining 55gr Wolf from Dallas Reloads, who incidentally, are completley out of the Lake City brass... (food for thought, the brass for the reloads they were selling were an assortment of Remington, Winchester, and a couple of others that I didn't recognize). Just wish I had more money to play with.... |
Go to South Summit in Richardson. Here's the website: Southsummit $49.00 for watching Stargate and feeling like part of the action ![]()

Market Hall has the AirSoft M4 with working Laser, working Flashlight, recharger and battery for 29.95....same for the P90....sure wish there was a civi version of the real P90.... Is there a dedicated place to use the AirSoft, I can only imagine what the Plano police would think seeing my kids running around and blasting away at eachother...

I went to the show today and was impressed. Bought some SA 308 battlepacks and got their card so I can order a case from them. The table across the aisle from SOG Armory had a lot of Winchester 5.56 in 100 lots and case lots. IIRC,a case was around $210. Almost bought a decent MAK-90 for $325 but didn't have enough funds with me. Found a couple of places that build & sell nice Polish & Bulgarian AKMS bottom folders so I got their contact info for future reference. Tried to find some nice, decently priced Fal mags but the few I found were overpriced. Military Gun Supply told me they would be getting more in stock soon, though. Spent five solid hours walking the show and my feet are tired, tonight. |
That's a pretty good price. That may be Southsummit that was there at the show. Were they in the corner selling stun guns and such. If so that is them. May be gunshow prices for their inventory. Airsoft place??? Dunno. And yes Plano PD don't play like that. |

I was there both days for the hunter safety course they had this weekend, I didnt have any money to part with, and couldnt sell anything. So I only bought some targets and I got my hunter safety certificate. Next weekend Im goin deer hunting so life is good. I wish I could have afforded powder, there was a new dealer selling it that I havent seen before, he had 4 pound cans of almost any powder for around 60 dollars, which is cheap compared to most places in Mesquite.. Anyone know who this was and if he will be back? |
There were two tables, one in the small back room and one near the back of the large hall. It was hard not buying something for the kids...so I bought a remington 579 .22 mag for the boys...they still want Airsoft. Here was my deal to the boys: if you can find a legit place to "airsoft" in the area, I would buy the toys...they looked on the internet, there is a place near Rockwall and one in south Dallas...not close enough... Airsoft are just toys, but they have great detail and from a distance...well...not in Plano. |
Have you tried Southwest Ammo on Davis in old downtown Mesquite? They usually have prices on powder lower than mail order and lowest in DFW. mm |
They still have overhead at the store front and additionally have overhead at the gunshow. In other words it cost more to display items at the gunshow, so they charge more to make up the difference. I am assuming the want to make money. |
Maybe you should try The Gunny Shop. He sells AK receivers for $59 all the time. |
That's beautiful. Looks like the one I sold this weekend? |
Thanks! U got any info on them I tried to google it and did not find anything |
Shop phone is 972-289-8997 ask for Lynn. They're in Mesquite |
Grip and stock both pretty neat. Whutizzit? Wherejagitit? |
Thats where I usually go, his prices are good, but the ones at market hall were better. Unique for example is 19 a pound at Southwest, the dealer at Market Hall had it for 16 a pound. The four pound cans where the best deal though, I just didnt have any extra money. |
I usually buy Ramshot or Varget there. Then again, the last time I bought pistol powder it was less than $16/lb.....and a lb of pistol powder lasts me a long time. mm |
Be thankful you're buying pistol powder.... .300WM and .50BMG eat your lunch when you can just about use your fingers to figure out the round count out of 1lb of powder.... |
It's Magpuls new PRS (Precision rifle stock). They're almost impossible to get right now, but SOG had 6 of the in stock. They go for $250-$280 if you can find one. ![]() The grip is made by Magpul as available any where fine tactical gear is sold. |
