Since its so close I figured I'd take a drive down today.  Last time I went I got there after everyone had gone. I went ready to camp but forgot a few things so we stayed till dark (actually that's a poor excuse).  When we got there not to much was going on, I believe it was time for official cocktails, though I'm sure that time varied greatly.  Off in the distance we could hear some NFAs firing and the occasional boom of tannernite (?).  We milled around a bit, intro 'd ourselves to ETH, and headed to the range, about 70 ft away.  I shot someone's M1A and an SKS, pleased to hit the argon bottle about 300 yards away.  Horses kept running onto the "range" and need to be run off occasionally.

Lets see if the pics load:

Not too exciting, these pics, but you can bet I'll be ready for a three day next time around.

Junker46, glad you made it in time this year to get some shooting in.  I remember reading your post from last year.

TxRednec I just figured that you were going to be there as those guys probably STARVED without your cooking and propane services!  I just couldn't swing the Hun Farm this time although it wasn't the length of the drive that concerned me...just the cost for the diesel.  I hope to make it down in the Spring and that you'll be able to attend as well.

TxRednec was missed indeed, but Hound stepped in and did a great job.
TRG was no where to be found. So now not only has he lost his man card, he lost his bitch card as well.

If you're the redleg that was shooting my M1A, you're welcome any time - you showed me how the pros do it!
