Walked into starbucks the other morning to get my wife a coffee for work (she works in willowbrook mall). I happened to throw on my kalishnakov T-shirt in the morning (with the wonderful weapon on the front) and when I was waiting to pick up my drink at the end of the counter, the guy making it made some smart ass comment Starf@#% lib: "wow nice shirt, is that trying to spout some kind of message." MauserMark: "Not really, I just admire the kalashnikov rifle." Starf@#% lib: "ahh I see, killing people and all." MauserMark: "well, yes, I'm just getting into building them it's pretty exciting." Starf@$# lib: "yeah sounds real interesting."

Starbucks has no problem with spouting messages when you buy their coffe, it's just that their messages embrace a somewhat different political view. I say wear your shirt loud and proud!

Feel free to submit your own quotes for this campaign: www.starbucks.com/retail/thewayiseeit_comments.asp Here are some suggestions: www.guncite.com/gc2ndfqu.html www.marksquotes.com/Founding-Fathers/ www.dojgov.net/Liberty_Watch.htm |

Very cool Mark. I just received my "Club Gitmo" shirst from Rush Limbaugh.com. The captions: [FRONT] "CLUB GITMO" [BACK] "Your tropical retreat from the stress of Jihad" I'll be going to Starf**ks and Whole Foods today and tomorrow. God I love pissing off Liberals. CMOS |

i have my ar15.com team shirt that i think would catch his attention as well but i have to ask was it the starbucks inside the mall or across the street? i have a friend that works across the street from the mall at the starbucks and he loves all things evil and sometimes his comments mean one thing but are taken as another. |

Just got home from Pruetts, and still in my "work" attire. Maybe I should stop by ![]() I too admire the AK. Where'd you get the shirt? |
I'm sure that all those Starbuck's employees that want you to fill their tip jar, certainly leave a tip when they eat at a McDonald's or a Taco Bell. Or do you think they see their ability to make a cappuccino as something more evolved than those who make burgers?

Thank you for properly rrrrrrrrrrrolling that "R." |

$3.19 x 2 (2 per day) = $6.38 Now ofcourse I was very "hooked" and dependent on my coffie. So I went literally 365 days a year. sooo $6.38 x 365 = $2328.70 per year to a highly liberally panty waste company. I no longer have any addiction to their coffie because of not having it for a while. Yes I have wanted to return a few times, but then I think about all those faggity sayings on the sides of their cups! I'm very pro-military, and pretty much a "rightwinger" as they say. I no longer send my funds to the left. Atleast not that far left. They also pissed me off when they increased their already expensive coffie products. |
did your membership get revoked or something? |
start a hometown thread and consider me there on.......say........saturdat?
|
I'd be in for this! CMOS |
Now this thread has taken a delightful turn. Sic 'em guys! ![]() Perhaps loiter on the comfy chairs reading Guns & Ammo, The Shotgun News, SWAT magazine and Soldier of Fortune? Get into a discernible discussion about .45 vs 9mm? Oh, to be there to watch the faces of those lil' dweebs behind the counter. I'd imagine you'll draw some heat, so keep it legal, but have fun! (phone video/pics, pleae?) |
This sounds like such a great idea, but the one I go to on Oak Lawn has some pretty cool employees (can't comment on the rest of their clientele, though...). I doubt the employees would have a problem, but the looks on the other people's faces would be priceless!
|
You're on the right track. - How about leaving some old copies of Guns And Ammo, NRA's Freedom First, etc. on their coffee tables? That would be nice too. CMOS
|
outside the mall on 1960 or inside the mall? |
Do they ever have "discussion night"? We have a Barnes and Noble with a Starwhatever store inside, and they sometimes have events (book club discussions, book signings, etc) that spill over into the coffee area. I always go in there and check out the gun rags in the magazine racks. It's right next to the dirty hippy coffee place, so the looks are usually priceless. I'm morally opposed to places like Starcatchers, but if they must exist then I also love them in a way because they are proof that even hippies/libs will "buy" (yes, pun intended) capitalism in a pretty enough package..........

From the article: "The Seattle coffee chain has raised some eyebrows over its 'The Way I See It' campaign, which prints quotes from thinkers, authors, athletes and entertainers on the side of your morning machiatto. The goal, according to the company, is to foster philosophical debate in its 9,000-plus coffeehouses." Never mind my above question. You guys should be good with the whole "debate night" deal....... Someone should go in and play a lib part: start a discussion on why ending the AWB was a bad idea. Use all the usual lib "arguments". Then have a "discussion" where a few others hand the first guy's ass to him. The real commies won't be able to resist seeing one of "their own" lose their battle like that, so they'll jump in almost for sure. Then hand *their* asses to them. Rinse. Repeat. |
Hmmm..... Maybe a philosophical debate regarding terminal ballistics / wound damage caused by various small arms ammunition / weapons combinations... Complete with photos for supporting evidence... |
Oh - do tell about that episode! CMOS |
he just called him a Sandn@#$%er. and punched him a few times before my friends pulled him off. not sure how it started. My friend heard them talking about the war on Terror or something, in a way he didn't like, and told him he was wrong. The guy said shutup you F@#$in sandni#$er. And he got his ass beat down. That's about it. This was at the one in Rice Village though. |
Holy Crap! That's 10 CASES of Q3131A at current market prices! Insanity! |
You all know what the more American purchase is. Now go and make it. Over and over again. I'm not a big coffee fan, so I don't have *much* of a dog in the fight, but I sometimes long for the days when that South American dictator guy, Juan Valdez, ruled over the coffee trade with an iron fist. |
Christmas is comming! |
Hopefully, so is the Arfcom Army......... and to a Starflucks near you, nonetheless! |
congrats

I doubt the employees would have a problem, but the looks on the other people's faces would be priceless!
