Well gentleman, I went out there today.......shit that place is frikken huge. I would reccommend a visit to anyone that likes guns, the outdoors, boats or water bottles. The gun library was awesome and I don't believe that I have ever seen a retail outlet that carried used guns. 3 ar-180's on the used rack.
I honestly left without buying anything and all I could think of was that I needed about four more hours to see everything.

I like the reloading supplies section.

Bought my Dillon AT550 starter kit on clearance there.  Worth every penny.

Some of their prices are wacked, but it is a fun store to go to though.

It's been open barely a month and they have stuff on clearance already?

I plannig a trip to Ft Worth  just to go to Cabela's.

On a side note.  Sherman is getting a Gander Mountian store.  While not as big as Cabela's or Bass Pro in GrapeVine  it's a big thing here for the local sportsperson.  Sherman is about 60 milrs north of Dallas up US 75.

I love the used guns racks.  It's just a lot of fun to pick all these things up an fiddle with them.

I've shopped at various Cabela's locations about the fruited plain.  They all have designated truck parking... which is SWEET!

I've been to the one in Sydney, NE... Dundee, MI... Hamburg, PA... I can't think of where else right now...

I believe it is Exit 220 and 221 off I35.   It is in Buda a small town just on the south edge of Austin.   You really can't miss it as they have a large water tower with their name painted on it  close to the interstate.    This is their Grand openig weekend so they will be packed, plan accordingly.

Did the family thing this past weekend at the new Cabelas in Buda; you can get to it from either the 217 exit if your NB, or 221/217 if your SB on IH-35.

I found things a bit too pricey; the wife said just a bag of chips for her, her mom and our daughter was $8.00.  I guess if they've got you in the store, you'll spend a little money...

However, not all was lost, I found a 20 round box of 9mm Gold Dots for my Glock at a reasonable price.

Yeah,
I was in on Monday and was not impressed with the prices, hotdogs $3.99, there were a lot of clerks on the floor willing to help but they were all pretty young and confused.  I did drop a hundred $, had to feed the 'wulf  I think I like Sportsmans Warehouse better.

Just got back.  This is the big grand opening sale.

S&B 9mm $4.99/box
S&B .45  $7.99/box

All kinds of other stuff on sale for really good prices.

Saw Dave Watson from Bushnell's Secrets of the Hunt.  He was very nice.  Was sitting down and looked bored.  When I told him I had to go, he had that "don't leave" look.  Very funny.  The place was packed.

I rolled up to an almost empty parking lot in Ft Worth today at 5 till 1. Place was still packed and stayed for almost an hour and a half. Didn't really see any bargains I couldn't live without but if you can think of it it's probably in the store somewhere. Things were a little unorganized today but that may have been because of the crowd.   Usual gun show crowd with the exception of lots of family's with little kids that had no business running around unsupervised. Dad your six year old has no business picking up a shotgun off of the used gun rack and dropping in on the concrete floor....twice!

When I left at 230 or so the lot was full and more were coming in. Unless you make a special trip for it this weekend I'd wait for a couple of weeks so you can shop unmolested.

It's one hell of a big place though with some outstanding mounts and a neat aquarium.
